Chainbridge Regional Wildwater Sprint Race
North Wales Wildwater Youth Championship
Water Levels.
The event will be run anticipating low summer water levels. In the event of any unexpected rise of the water level the Regional Race will be cancelled.
Saturday 16th
Introduction to wavehoppers and race coaching.
10am. Flat water cruise and coaching above Horseshoe Falls.
2pm. Guided runs of the race course.
Sunday 17th
Race from below the Horseshoe Falls to bottom of Chainbridge Rapid (grade II).
9am final practice runs.
11am. First race run.
2pm. Second race run.
3pm. prize giving upper chainbridge car park.
Equipment
Canoe Wales have 3 serviceable wavehopper and another 2 privately owned.
If you are able to bring a wavehopper and your racing experience/coaching and any other help over the weekend it will be much appreciated.
Helmets and buoyancy aids are mandatory on the wild water stretch.
Race entries to Mark Williams, payments (£5 per entry) to Dyffryn Conwy Paddlers.
Late entries accepted on the day.
Accommodation.
There are numerous hotels and campsites in the area.
