Wildwater Racing- England and Wales Entry level events, Day Tickets and Club Associate members

In England and Wales, British Canoeing and Canoe Wales allow paddlers who are not full National Association Members to enter an event if it is defined as an ‘Entry Level Event’. This applies to paddlers that are Club Associate members or will be paying the additional Day Ticket fee to the organiser.

For clarification, Wildwater Racing Regional Races are defined as ‘Entry Level Events’ and can be entered by Club Associate members or by non-members that purchase a Day Ticket. For National Races full National Association membership that permits competition is required.

British Canoeing Club Associate membership is club membership of an affiliated British Canoeing club and the athlete must race for the affiliated club. This will need to be arranged and paid for by your club through the affiliation process and you will receive a British Canoeing Club Associate membership number from your club. 

Canoe Wales Club Associate membership is club membership of an affiliated Canoe Wales club and the athlete must race for the affiliated club. This will need to be arranged and paid for by your club through the affiliation process and you will receive a Canoe Wales Club Associate membership number from your club.

Historically the ‘Day ticket’ is the term used to describe event insurance for non-members.

Please note that, just because an event is an ‘Entry Level Event’ does not necessarily mean that it is suitable for novices and races appearing on the calendar will still indicate whether or not they are suitable for novices.

Race organisers will need to collect the £5.00 day ticket fee, fill in the form and send the fee to the National Association if anyone enters by this method. British Canoeing are looking to replace the paper system with an online one later in the year for England. The organisers forms for England and Wales are below.
