Teme

Teme

Racing no longer takes place on the river Teme, but this river provides long stretches of grade 2+ water which is great for training. Access on the Teme in recent years has become a little problematic, particularly around the main Ludlow town weir.

The Ludlow town section is a series of weirs with relatively flat water in-between. The more interesting section from a wildwater racing perspective are the sections from Ashford Carbonel (put in below the weir – access is through the orchard, requiring permission from the owner) to Little Hereford and the lower section from Little Hereford to Tenbury Wells (access and egress at the main road bridges river right).
