Well Done to our Junior and Under 23 team now returning from the World Championships in the USA at Bryson City, Nantahala.
Some excellent team and individual results on excellent and challenging water. The team acquitted themselves well and were able to step up to the World Championship level needed. Lots of lessons learnt, extreme waters paddled and conquered and friendships made which I’m sure will endure
Many thanks to Chris Norbury and his team for being excellent hosts and running such a great event. Also to Nicky Cresser Tem GB manager and his helpers, assistants plus friends and families – without whom it wouldn’t have happened.
Please find the Event Blog for Team GB on our Facebook page
The next Wild Water events will be

The ICF Junior & U23 Wildwater World Championships begins on 2nd August and the team are already in Bryson City, North Carolina ahead of the competition (lucky them!). They've been on the water training in some pretty tough conditions, including a bizarre rainstorm - Ryan's paddling must have been on fire because steam was rising from the boat! ... We will be keeping you updated on the teams performance whilst in the USA, but in the meantime, please join us in wishing the team the very best of luck!! GO ON TEAM!
The Latest from the camp... "Having arrived Saturday, Sunday was spent getting over jet lag and fitting c1 out for Ryan Hunt GB champion u23 c1 paddler...Ryan jumped in the water and spent the morning doing classic and sprint runs...Sunday night was spent by Ryan doing a flat water training test in very hot humid temperatures... it was beautiful. Steam and mist rising off the lake and all you can hear are the birds, absolutely unreal. Big big thanks to Chris Hipgrave for meeting us so warmly on Sunday and to Chris Norbury for driving us round yesterday."
